Once revered as the paradigm of affordable and efficient housing at its inception in 1927, The Weisenhof Estate was exactly what post - war Germany required. It served its purpose with elegance and dignity for several decades though fell into disrepair in the 1980's and would be be left vacant and later redeveloped for historical preservation. With the same intentions as the original designer Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, a portion of The Weisenhof has been reimagined into an efficient and flexible place to grow old and enjoy those golden years.
